My name is Mark Beale, and for over 40 years, I had the privilege of welcoming travelers from around the world to the Maine coast as the owner of Ledges By The Bay in Rockport, Maine.
Although I’ve moved on from the hotel business, my passion for sharing the beauty of this state hasn’t changed. MaineBound Designs is my way of continuing that journey — turning a lifetime of local memories into a collection of apparel and goods that celebrate the rugged coastlines and pine forests we all love. MaineBound Designs is a Print-On Demand creative studio based in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, dedicated to celebrating the rugged coastlines, pine forests, and timeless charm of the Pine Tree State. Whether you are a lifelong local, a fond traveler, or simply “Maine-curious,” our goal is to help you carry a piece of Maine with you wherever you go.
Our Story - From Hospitality to Heritage
Our journey began with a deep-seated passion for sharing Maine with the world. Founder Mark Beale brings over four decades of experience in the state’s hospitality and tourism industry. For more than 40 years, Mark welcomed travelers from around the globe as the owner of Ledges By The Bay, a beloved boutique hotel in Rockport, Maine.
Although Mark sold the hotel in 2016, his dedication to promoting the region didn’t end there. He continues to share his local expertise through his writing and TakeMe2 Travel Guides (TM2Maine.com). MaineBound Designs is the natural evolution of that journey — transforming a career of welcoming guests into a collection of wearable and shareable memories..

Mark – Owner & Designer: With his extensive background in tourism, Mark provides the authentic local insight that grounds our brand. His vision is simple: to create thoughtful, high-quality gifts that genuinely reflect the spirit of Maine.
Marie – Manager & Designer: Marie’s creativity is deeply rooted in the landscape itself. Growing up in the Maine woods surrounded by wildlife and natural beauty, she found endless inspiration in her environment. Today, she channels that connection into designing pieces that capture the heart and charm of the state.

How Do I Place an Order?
In order to process your order we require the following information:
- Your shipping, order information & billing address.
- Phone number & email address for order confirmation and invoice.
- Payment method – please provide a credit card number to complete your order.
How Long Does It Take to Get My Order?
Our standard processing time is 10 business days. Custom orders may take a bit longer depending on the complexity of the design. All orders placed during normal week day business hours are processed within 2 hours on the same day they are received.
Generally speaking, you should allow for 10 business days from the day you place your order to receive your order using standard shipping. We will also provide an estimated shipping date when you place your order.
I Need My Order by a Certain Date, Will It Arrive in Time?

What If I Need to Change or Cancel My Order?
If you need to change or cancel your order, please contact us within 1 hour of placing your order. After this period, we may have already started processing your order, and changes or cancellations may not be possible. All items are shipped as ordered to the address provided.
What Is Your Return & Exchange Policy?
We accept returns and exchanges on non-customized items within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in their original condition, unworn, unwashed or unused.
Please note that the shipping cost on the outbound shipment is not refundable.
MaineBound Designs does not cover the cost of return shipping. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and any loss in value if an item isn’t returned in original condition. Purchases made anywhere other than MaineBounds.store are not eligible for our return policy.

Customized items are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or defective. Digital items are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
We’ll process your return within 7-10 days of receipt. Refunds will be made to the original form of payment.
Do You Offer Bulk Discount Pricing?

Where Are Your Products Manufactured?
All our products (e.g., t-shirts, apparel, posters, prints, ornaments, stickers, blankets, home decor, etc.) are made in the USA by American workers and skilled crafts people.
Are These All Your Designs?
Yes. All our designs are original designs created by MaineBound graphic designers.
How Do I Know If My Order Went Through Correctly?
If we have received your order, an order confirmation will be sent to your email address. If you do not receive an email from us, then please check your spam folder.
You can also reach out to us at support@mainebounddesigns.com.
You will receive a separate shipping confirmation when your order is shipped from our Production Partner.
My Product Was Damaged Upon Arrival. What Should I Do?
We will always ensure our customers get what they paid for so if your order arrives damaged or with any imperfections please contact us immediately at support@mainebound.store and we will arrange for a replacement.
If your order gets lost in the post or fails to arrive please contact us and we will do our best to issue a replacement or refund.
